This position is responsible for the management of servers, applications and desktop images.  Strong knowledge of system security and Active Directory is essential for managing the MFB systems environment.

 Essential Job Responsibilities:

  1. Perform daily administration on MS Windows Server 7x24 environment which includes:

    • Active Directory management

    • account management including new user setup and terminations

    • OS/software installation/upgrades

    • Build and maintain corporate desktop images for deployment

    • Patch/security updates to physical, virtual servers and desktop computers

    • Hardware and firmware updates

    • Manage system security and file shares

    • Manage backups and restores

    • Setup windows printers

    • Performance monitoring and overall efforts to minimize system downtime.

  2. Maintain and support VMware virtual environment and clusters

  3. Monitor, improve and maintain the disaster recovery environments.

  4. Work with internal/external IT auditors on risk assessments, vulnerabilities, etc.

  5. Use project management tools and techniques to implement new initiatives

  6. Provide second-tier assistance to help desk for user issues and completing help desk ticket requests.

  7. Perform tasks outside of regular business hours as required

  8. Provide and update documentation of servers and operating procedures/guidelines

  9. Provide security assessments and recommendations on existing configurations

  10. The candidate should have strong customer service skills and be able to function independently as well as part of a team.

  11. Other duties as assigned

Essential Job Qualifications (Knowledge, Education, and Training Requirements):

  1. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience

  2. Minimum 5 years of experience in IT, working directly with servers and active directory.

  3. Strong project management skills 

  4. Requires information management skills to communicate, explain, interpret, and present data.

  5. Physical Demands: 

  • Able to exert up to 35 pounds of force occasionally (up to 1/3 of the time); 

  • To lift, carry, push, pull, up to 35 pounds occasionally;

  • To sit for the majority (1/3 – 2/3) of the time, but may involve brief periods of time involving walking or standing;

  • To use keyboard frequently (1/3 to 2/3 of the time)

Other Preferred Job Qualifications:

  • ITIL, MCSA, or comparable certifications desired.
  • PMP certification desired.
